BYO Cloud (Bring Your Own Cloud)
BYO cloud is a deployment model where a SaaS vendor's software runs inside the customer's own cloud account — typically AWS, Azure, or GCP — rather than in the vendor's tenancy.
In a BYO cloud deployment, the customer owns the compute, storage, and network primitives. The vendor's software is installed into that environment and operated jointly or by the vendor under a defined access model.
The benefit is that customer data never leaves the customer's cloud boundary. Data residency, key management, network egress, and incident response all stay under the customer's existing controls and contracts with the cloud provider.
